I'm a LAZY bum

I've gotten like nothing done during my first week of break. This week I'm taking the GRE!! wahoo!!! Yeah, and stuff. So michael was playing this really angry song which he called a "love" song and somehow this led to the challenge of making a "love" playlist. Mine is long but here goes with a blurb explaining why I picked each song:

"The Cuddles Mary Gave" from A Man of No Importance

  • It's the small stuff we remember about the people we love.
"As Lovers Go" from Dashboard Confessional's A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar
  • Because you're always afraid to jump.
"Bella Notte" from The Lady and The Tramp
  • Because there's always music playing in the background when you're in love.
"Love Doesn't Kill You" from Fastball's Harsh Light of Day
  • "Love doesn't kill you; it's supposed to make you feel better." I really want to believe this.
"Banana Pancakes" from Jack Johnson's In Between Dream
  • Because sometimes the sweetest thing you can do for people you love is help them forget the world and relax.
"You Don't See Me" from the Josie and Pussycat's Movie
  • I sang this song a lot when Josh and I broke up.
"La La Means I Love You" by the Delefonics
  • No brainer. I love this song.
"My Lover's Gone" from Dido's No Angel
  • For the emptiness that remains when love is lost.
"All I Ask of You" from The Phantom of the Opera
  • Classic lover's duet. I love it.
"A Postcard to Henry Purcell" from the Pride and Prejudice Soundtrack
  • I love the tension in this song, but maybe I'm just remembering how this song worked in the movie.
"I'll Cover You (reprise)" from Rent
  • For mourning and celebrating the passing of those we love.
"One for My Baby" sung by Frank Sinatra
  • For every person who's tried/wanted to use substances to forget love.
"Shimmer" from Fuel's Sunburn
  • For love that fades. For love that's out of our reach.
"The Man I Love" sung by Ella Fitzgerald
  • For the dream of love. For those who are still waiting for love to find them.
"The Next Ten Minutes" from The Last Five Years
  • For falling in love.
"Nobody Needs to Know" from The Last Five Years
  • "Because I need to be in love with someone"
"Break Me" from Jewel's This Way
  • For trust.
"Why" from Tick, Tick Boom
  • For memories of love. For childhood love. For the love that drives us to do something great.
"Dido's Lament" by Henry Purcell
  • "Remember Me." Saying goodbye to love sucks.
"You" by Amy Lee (unreleased)
  • For The confession of love. For the fear and the joy.
"Cry Me a River" sung by Ella Fitzgerald
  • For everyone who's ever been hurt by love.
"I Hate Everything About You" by Three Day's Grace
  • I think the title says it.
